Today I was reading about the new OBIEE 11g release, which is being released one of these days. I remember that some time ago I had the experience of discussing the Oracle Retail’s Active Retail Intelligence (ARI) in a client, being this a monitoring system product . In a nutshell, it can monitor databases and values, notifying or alerting business users for specific business events based in rules.
Well, since OBIEE iBots will do something similar and can even invoke business processes I wonder if OBIEE 11g will be, somehow, used to substitute this OR module in the near future.
Just guessing…
